NORMAN, Oklahoma —– The Oklahoma State’s No.3 women’s golf course dominated the course in the first two rounds of the Fall Schooner Classic on Sunday with rounds of 270 and 279 at Belmar Golf Club. The Cowgirls finished 11 under the first 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament on a 6,112 yard par 70 course.

Oklahoma State finished as the only under-par team on Sunday and will head to the final round with an 18-stroke lead over Illinois and a 19-stroke advantage over two teams tied for third.

OSU will be looking for its 101st team tournament championship tomorrow morning and his third Schooner Fall Classic title. The victory would be the Cowgirls’ seventh tag team championship in Norman.

Caley mcginty paced the field with two rounds of 67s to finish 6 under to take a three-stroke lead over Kornkamol Sukaree of Illinois and a four-stroke advantage over two tied for third.

The five Cowgirls of the starting lineup finished Sunday among the top 15 in the individual standings.

“We were very happy with the way they played today, especially in the wind,” said the head coach Greg robertson noted. “Everyone came out birdies from the start and played hard for 36 holes. Overall it was a strong team performance from top to bottom.”

Isabelle Fierro continued his strong start to the fall season with a 66 and a 74 to finish tied and tied for seventh alongside his teammates Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, who shot a 69 and a 71, and Rina Tatematsu, who posted a 68 and 72.

Clemence martin completed the Cowgirl starting lineup with rounds of 72 and 69 to end the day tied for 13e.

Han Hsuan Yu was also competing in individual and finished tied with 47e with rounds of 74 and 72.

Oklahoma State returns to action Monday at 10:30 a.m. in search of its second tournament tag team championship in as many tries to open the 2021-22 season.

Tomorrow’s final two holes will air on Bally Sports Southwest on Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET. These images will be broadcast live on Monday afternoon. Scoring updates will be provided on and the team’s social media accounts as they become available.
