By Daniel Kelly (September 27, 2021, 7:42 p.m. EDT) – The Federal Workforce Safety Task Force released its guidance for federal contractors and subcontractors on September 24[1] as required by President Joe Biden’s September 9 executive order to ensure adequate COVID-19 security protocols for federal contractors.[2] The guidelines were approved by the Office of Management and Budget on the same day.[3]

The guide contains three key provisions:

Mandatory vaccination of employees of covered contractors who are not legally entitled to housing;

Masking and physical distancing in the workplaces of covered contractors in accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and
