Jean Baker of Clifton Park, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on March 18, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Troy on August 8, 1938, the daughter of Audley and Mary Rawlin. Jean was the beloved wife of the late David Baker and was the mother of four children: Mary Beth (late Patrick) Pulver of Valatie, Kate Baker of Clifton Park, David (Yuliya) Baker, Jr. of Clifton Park and Michael ( Mary) Baker of Tupper Lake; proud grandmother of Emily Pulver, Alexandra “Sacha” Baker and Christopher Baker.

In addition to his parents, Jean was predeceased by his beloved husband of 47 years, David; his sister Margaret “Peggy” (Peter) Zoretich; and his son-in-law Patrick Pulver.

Jean graduated from Russell Sage College with a degree in accounting and worked as an accountant for over 30 years. In addition to their professional careers, Jean and David have also been serial entrepreneurs operating three businesses in their lifetime, including Ledge Rock in Whiteface which they operated for 23 years alongside their children. She was a member of the Whiteface Regional Chamber of Commerce for 23 years, where she also served as a member of their board and president for several years. Jean retired to Clifton Park in 2016. She was a communicator at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.

A Christian Burial Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 25 at St. Edward the Confessor, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065 at 10 a.m., immediately followed by a burial at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Road , Niskayuna, NY 12309. The Reverend Patrick Butler will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Jean’s memory may make a donation to St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065 or St. Agnes Church, 169 Hillcrest Ave ., Lake Placid, NY 12946 .
