YOUNGSTOWN – Marie D. Chiarello, 83, passed away on Friday evening, September 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was born on August 21, 1938 in Niles, daughter of Giuseppe and Concetta Inglese Pezzano.

She worked for many years alongside her husband as an accountant / secretary for Chiarello Contracting Company and then worked for Niles Manufacturing.

Mary received Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and she was a member of St. Brendan Church. She was a wonderful housewife, mother, grandparent and friend. Marie’s cooking was memorable; she was well known for her kolachi. She was also an avid bowler for many years.

Besides her husband, Joseph Chiarello, whom she married on April 15, 1961; she will always remember with love her two children, Tina-Marie Oakes and Joseph V. Chiarello; three granddaughters, Teresa (John) Bacher, Anna-Marie Oakes and Gina (Jonathon) Harwood; four great-grandchildren, Vincent, Michaela, Annaliese and Juliana Bacher; two brothers, Salvatore (Diane) Pezzano and Joseph Pezzano; and her cat, Matteo.

Marie was predeceased by her parents; his sister, Annette Vigorito; and his brother, Dominic Pezzano.

Family and friends can call 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.

A Christian Burial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown. Everyone is requested to meet directly at the church on Wednesday morning for mass.

The family respectfully asks everyone to wear a mask during call times and on duty.
